Nakhchivan. C. Gurbanoglu–APA. Kitchen-stuff was prohibited in Eshabi-Kahf shrine in Nakhchivan. Pilgrims were banned to organize dinners, to stick sacrificial lamb’s meat on skewers and other such cases which became traditions there. They are allowed to enjoy only with cup of tea which is prepared by the shrine’s service group.
Nakhchivan’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism said dinners were prohibited at the shrine, which is reminded in Holy Guran, because such traditions are not expedient in the context of Islam. Other reason of the prohibition is an anti-sanitary.
