Azerbaijan is a tolerant country, says Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh in the international conference in US

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. Chairman of Caucasian Muslims Office Sheikhulislam Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh has held a press conference on the outcomes of his visit to the US, APA reports. Allahshukur Pashazadeh said he had attended the international conference â€œLoving God and Neighbor in Word and Deed: Implications for Christians and Muslimsâ€ organized by Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought in Jordan and Yale University. He said about 125 outstanding religious figures, statesmen and scientists had participated in the conference. Addressing the conference Allahshukur Pashazadeh said that tradition of tolerance had ancient roots in Azerbaijan. Sheikh told the participants of the conference that like representatives of other nations and religions, Armenian were also treated as equal right citizens in Azerbaijan. Allahshukur Pashazadeh also noted that Armenians were inclined to separatism.
Chairman of Caucasian Muslims Office met with member of U.S. Senate John Kerry, top UN official Ibrahim Gambar, President of the Appeal of Conscience Foundation Rabbi Arthur Schneier and other persons.
