Renovated Mosque to be opened in Azerbaijanâ€™s Guba Region

Baku. Ulker Gasimova-APA. A renovated mosque in the Rustov village of Guba, Azerbaijan will be opened on April 7. Intigam Humbatov, Press-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism told APA, brick mosque built in 1902 is a local character monument. The mosque was repaired by the â€œAzerberpaâ€ think-tank by the order of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Intigam Humbatov said the renovation work in the mosque was provided on the decision passed by the Cabinet of Ministers on August 2, 2001. The Press Secretary said Dome Bath House in Guba and the mosque in the First Nugadi were also considered to be repaired within the â€œState Program on the Socio-Economic Development of the Regionsâ€. Totally 162 mosques have been registered in Guba. One of them is a global impact monument, 44 are national and 117 are local character monuments.
