Caucasian Muslim Board accepts appeal on wedding and mourning ceremonies

The appeal read by CMB’s deputy chairman Haji Sabir Hasanli at the roundtable held in CMB touched the holding rules of wedding and mourning ceremonies, sale of willed lands in the graveyard, the erection of ornate monuments at the tomb.

“Especially in the month of Ramadan giving food and tea before breaking of a fast, under the guise of funeral repast, is strictly prohibited and is considered haram.
In his case, we support the recent initiatives against squandering in the mourning ceremonies held in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and hope that with joint effort of state and religious figure, the squandering cases in the wedding and mourning ceremonies in our other regions will be terminated – the appeal says.
