2000-person Hajj pilgrimage quota allocated to Azerbaijan this year

Baku. Parvin Abbasov â€“ APA. The Caucasian Muslim Board (CMB) issued statement on the start of admission of documents to the holy Hajj pilgrimage in 2011. Press service of the organization told APA that chairing the Azerbaijan Hajj pilgrimage, CMB carries out visits to Mecca and Medina cities on Hajj visit basing on the protocol signed with Saudi Arabiaâ€™s Hajj Ministry.

2000 pilgrims will leave for holy places by bus and plane according to Hajj pilgrimage quota considered for Azerbaijan in 2011.

The admission of documents for a visit will continue till the mid of September.

The bus will move en route Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey-Syria-Jordan-Saudi Arabia, the planes en route Baku-Jeddah, Medina-Baku. The pilgrims will leave for holy places by planes on October 28-31. If there are changes on depart of the buses, as well as in route, the information will be given on it. Our pilgrims will leave for holy visit by the modern buses owned by Turkeyâ€™s well-known â€œUlusoyâ€ company.

Pilgrimage travels by bus will cost AZN 2650 (AZN 2500 last year), by plane - AZN 3750 (AZN 3500 last year). It includes transport, hotel, visa and landing fees, as well as tent rent.

New fees include obligatory life insurance of pilgrims, dinner and lunch at hotels, lunch in Mina and Arafat, as well as railway transport heading to Muzdalifah and Arafat. The Caucasian Muslims Board said increase of hotel rates in Saudi Arabia also caused changes in pilgrimage travel costs.

The pilgrims will be accompanied by guides and medical brigades to be informed about the holy places and provided with medical services. Educational literature will be distributed among the pilgrims and they will receive necessary instructions.

The Caucasian Muslims Board considers necessary measures for serving the pilgrims in the holy places.

Application admission for Hajj pilgrimage began a week ago.
