Muslim religious figures of Caucasus issue message to UN

We are concerned that UNâ€™s four resolutions on unconditional withdrawal of the forces from the Azerbaijani territories occupied as a result of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict have not been implemented

Baku. Parvin Abbasov â€“ APA. Muslim religious figures of the Caucasus issued a message to the UN at the meeting of the Supreme Religious Board of Caucasian Peoples in Baku, APA reports. The authors expressed their concern over the terror attacks in various parts of the world, bloody events and manslaughters sometimes having religious character due to the provocative actions, destruction of religious and cultural monuments.
â€œAs religious leaders of the Caucasus we are concerned that UNâ€™s four resolutions on unconditional withdrawal of the forces from the Azerbaijani territories occupied as a result of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict have not been implemented for more than 20 years, while the recent resolutions and sanctions with regard to a number of Muslim states are implemented without delay. Nothing can damage the peopleâ€™s trust more than double-standard approach. Expressing the will of millions of religious persons of the Caucasus we ask the Supreme Being to facilitate the efforts of the UN towards the protection of the fundamental principles of life, peace and prosperity of all the people irrespective of their nationality and religion.â€

Chairman of the Caucasian Muslim Board and the Supreme Religious Board of Caucasian Peoples Allahshukur Pashazadeh, chairman of the Coordination Center of Northern Caucasus Muftis, head of Karachay-Cherkessia Muslims Board Ismayil Berdiyev, head of the Religious Board of Muslims of Chechnya Sultan Mirzayev, chairman of Dagestan Muslims Board Ahmad Abdullayev, chairman of North Ossetia-Alania Muslims Board Hajimurad Gatsalov, chairman of Ingushetia Muslims Board Isa Khamkhoyev and others signed the message.
