Caucasian Muslims Office issues statement on Azerbaijan Islamic Party chairman Movsum Samadovâ€™s provocations

According to APA, the statement reads: â€œDue to recent irresponsible provocations by Movsum Samadov, chairman of the illegal Azerbaijan Islamic Party, which were published in the press and caused protest of believers, the Caucasian Muslims Office stated: It is true that owing to mercy of Allah, destiny of the Azerbaijani people and state in this important period of the history was entrusted to the powerful persons. Just the genius of Heydar Aliyev saved our homeland from the threats of splitting and falling and established the independent statehood of Azerbaijan. Honorable President Ilham Aliyev took over the mission to realize the nationwide leaderâ€™s high wishes about the successful future of our people. Our grateful people see results of this policy and will see it long time Inshallah. The world witnesses that as a result of efforts made by the head of our state Azerbaijan is successfully developing and reaching achievements in all spheres of life. The president is a guarantor of freedom of conscience of our people. The high level of state-religion relations, the state care about the national-spiritual values and historic-religious monuments are the characterizing features of the presidencies of both nationwide leader and President Ilham Aliyev. Those, who intend to harm solidarity of the citizens, shouldnâ€™t forget that democracy and freedom of conscience serve the protection of human rights and absolutely donâ€™t justify the harmful tendencies and attempts of split and confrontation.

We, believers, condemn, protest and donâ€™t adopt the calls which deny our presidentâ€™s activities for our nation and state. We think that, this is sabotage against our nation and statehood and it has a purpose to damage our national unity and stability and to create confrontation in the society. This manifestation is very dangerous and unfortunately this case is being created by the so-called fanatics who abuse Islam. The bringing of hijab issue to the agenda is pretext for those. Our believers should take into account that the hijab was not prohibited by the government. Caucasian Muslim Board expressed its position on this issue. Those who hold the Islam values high will never allow the calls the sins and violence as slanders, calumny and insult. The calls against our president and denial of his contributions are disrespect for our national values.

We, believers, consider important to prevent all the contraries against our state sovereignty, national interests and call our nation not to fall for intrigues, and to maintain the civil solidarity. We state again that Inshallah, Azerbaijani believers will never fall for intrigues and will beat off all the obstacles in order to maintain the statehood.
