Caucasian Muslims Office issues statement on insult and threat to burn Holy Quran

According to APA, the Caucasian Muslims Office expressed concern and temper over the reports about insulting and threatening to burn Quran-Karim, the holy book of Islam.

â€œIt is very sorrowful and spreading discord that so offensive attitude toward Quran, last of divine books, was displayed in the country, which introduces itself as a defender of the democratic values. Dirty and inhuman events happened under cover of democracy blot the democracy out and it is misuse of democracy. Such event can not gain prestige for any country or society.

While real religious figures are making great efforts to launch dialogue and cooperation between the religions in the world, unfortunately so-called religious figures commit sabotage seeding disunity among the fellow believers and trying to foment Islamophobia after the failure of attempts to connect September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks with Holy Islamâ€, the statement reads.

The Caucasian Muslims Office strongly condemns this event, which insulted million of Muslims over the world. â€œWe are calling on the US government and society and all international community not depending on national and religious belonging to seriously condemn this immoral step and to make joint efforts to prevent dirty intentions of saboteursâ€.
