"I am honored to visit the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria for the first time and visit the National Museum of Moudjahid as an expression of my deep respect to fraternal people of Algeria," President Ilham Aliyev wrote in the book of memory of the National Museum of Moudjahid in Algeria, capital city of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, APA reports.
President Ilham Aliyev has stressed that National Museum of Moudjahid is an important complex reflecting most tragic, at the same time most honorable pages of glorious history of Algerian people: "This museum is of exceptional importance in terms of preserving the memory of the colonial policy, war crimes and crimes against humanity, the national struggle against the colonial forces, and the victory of independence won at the cost of one and a half million martyrs, which was carried out with unprecedented cruelty and violence against the people of Algeria, and passing it on to future generations."
