Portugal national football team striker Cristiano Ronaldo has left the national team. He will explain the reasons for his decision later. He wrote this on his Instagram page, APA reports.
Earlier, Marca newspaper reported that Ronaldo had withdrawn from the national team ahead of the third-round Nations League group stage match against Denmark on October 1. The forward did not take the field in the tournament's previous match against Norway (2-1).
"I have decided to leave the national team camp. In due course, I will tell all Portuguese people the reasons that motivated me to leave the national team, to which I have always given myself completely. Now it's time to wish good luck to Portugal and all my teammates," Ronaldo wrote.
