Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has commented on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement that “relations with Russia will not be the same as before,” APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
During her regular briefing today, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson advised waiting for clarification of Pashinyan’s statement:
“We need to understand what Nikol Vovayevich Pashinyan meant when he said that relations between Yerevan and Moscow would not be the same as before. Perhaps he meant that relations would be better. So, let us wait for his clarification on this. Then we will comment.”
It should be noted that Pashinyan said that relations between Yerevan and Moscow would not be the same as before and that the relations were going through a period of transformation.
He said that these changes were primarily related to the achievement of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and that this peace would naturally also change relations between Armenia and Russia.
