A delegation of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran has arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the 6th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition "ADEX-2026" and the High-Level Observer Day of the "Power of Unity - 2026" joint military exercise, the Ministry of Defense told APA.
According to the ministry, as part of the meetings held at the international exhibition on September 30, First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, met with Lieutenant General Reza Sheikh-Hosseini, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces for Operations.
During the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the military, military-technical, military education, and medical fields were discussed, and a detailed exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest.
