A number of supply contracts and a memorandum of understanding have been signed between Türkiye and Azerbaijan in the field of defense industry, Türkiye's Defense Industry Minister Haluk Görgün said this in a post on his social media account, APA reports.
According to him, the agreements that will strengthen the defense capabilities of the two countries are as follows:
A contract with TUSAŞ for the supply of HÜRKUŞ aircraft;
A memorandum of understanding with ASELSAN for the supply of the ALP-100 radar;
A contract with BAYKAR for the supply of the “Mızrak” smart loitering munition;
A contract with BAYKAR for the supply of the “Antidot” system;
A contract with ROKETSAN for the supply of the “Barbaros” coastal defense system.
Haluk Görgün noted that the total value of the contracts exceeds $500 million.
“I wish these agreements to be beneficial for the two brotherly countries,” he added.
