Head of the Italy-Azerbaijan Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Italian Senator Marco Scurria has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on his re-election, APA reports.
The letter reads:

Dear Mr. President,
As the Head of the Italy-Azerbaijani Friendship Group, I deem it necessary to wholeheartedly congratulate you on your re-election as the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
I strongly support the development of trade and cultural ties between our countries, which led to the intensification of the relations between Rome and Baku that have existed for over 30 years.
I am looking forward to meeting you soon on one of the next missions at a convenient time.
I avail myself of the opportunity to extend to you my sincerest greetings."
