By the instruction of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, on March 1-2, a delegation consisting of heads of relevant government agencies, under the leadership of Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov and Samir Nuriyev, Head of the Coordination Staff established for the centralized settlement of issues in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan has reviewed the progress of works in Zangilan Airport, APA reports.
AZAL President Jahangir Asgarov noted that construction work on the 3,000-meter runway at the airport began in May last year.
Zangilan airport will be able to receive all types of planes, as well as heavy cargo planes. Construction works are planned to be completed this year.
