Through the tankers and universal dry cargo ships of “Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company” CJSC (ASCO), one of the AZCON Holding companies, a total of 4,838,499 tons of cargo were transported in January–October 2025, APA-Economics reports.
3,714,677 tons of the shipments were carried by tanker vessels, while 1,123,822 tons were transported by universal dry cargo ships.
In the same period last year, these figures amounted to 3,410,939 tons and 724,627 tons, respectively. Thus, an increase of 8.9 percent was recorded in liquid cargo transportation, and 55.1 percent in dry cargo transportation.
Overall, the total volume of ASCO’s liquid and dry cargo transportation increased by approximately 17 percent compared to the same period last year.
