The $407 million project for desalination of the Caspian Sea water is an important step for the country in terms of water security, technology transfer, and foreign investment, said Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov during today’s session of the Milli Majlis while discussing the 2026 state budget draft, APA reports.
The minister noted that the project, being implemented within the framework of a public-private partnership, is significant in terms of technology transfer: “The $407 million project for desalination of the Caspian Sea water, launched under the public-private partnership framework, is an important step for the country in terms of water security, technology transfer, and foreign investment.”
