In 2023, the volume of foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Azerbaijan increased by 7% in annual terms and reached USD 1 billion 515.98 million, National Statistics Office of Georgia said in a report, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.
Georgia imported goods and products worth $ 653,911 million from Azerbaijan last year. This indicator is 2,1% more in comparison with 2022. Import from Azerbaijan accounted for 4.2% of Georgia's total imports in 2023.
During the reporting period, Georgia's export to Azerbaijan increased by 28.2% in annual comparison and reached $ 862,070 million.
Thus, in 2023, Georgia had a positive balance of $ 208,158 million in foreign trade turnover with Azerbaijan.
Note that in 2022, Georgia had a negative balance of $ 32,306 million in foreign trade with Azerbaijan.
