As a result of the measures carried out by the employees of the Air Transport Head Customs Department, an attempt to illegally bring pharmaceutical drugs into the country was prevented, the State Customs Committee told APA-Economics.
According to the information, during the inspection of the belongings of a citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan who arrived on the Istanbul–Ganja flight at the arrival hall of Ganja International Airport through an X-ray machine, an image of suspicious items was observed on the monitor.
During the inspection, a total of 645 envelopes of Lioresal brand medication, each containing 10 pills, were discovered inside the citizen's bag, which had not been previously submitted to customs control, nor had they been declared orally, electronically or in writing, but had been specially hidden in boxes covered with candy.
