Azerbaijan sees nearly 3% rise in air passenger transport

Last year, 4,162.1 thousand passengers were transported by air from Azerbaijan, which is 2.9 percent more than in the previous year, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee.

According to the report, 99.9 percent of passenger transportation was carried out by state-owned transport vehicles, while 0.1 percent was handled by privately owned vehicles.

Cargo transportation by air decreased by 6.6 percent to 391.2 thousand tons, the report said.
