Construction is underway at one of the 10 stations planned to be built in the Baku Metro by 2027, while design work for the other nine stations has been completed, said Anar Rzayev, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency (AYNA), during his speech at a roundtable dedicated to the implementation of the “2025–2030 State Program for improving transport infrastructure in Baku and its surrounding areas” for the past year, APA-Economics reports.
“Construction is ongoing at the station with the provisional name B4 and is planned to be completed by September this year. Construction works have started at the Darnagul depot. Land plots for 24 stations, 16 mines, and 2 depots have been converted after 2030,” he added.
