Cargo turnover rose 3% in Azerbaijan part of TRACECA Corridor

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics.31.9 million tons of cargo and 125.9 million people were carried through Azerbaijan part of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) during January-August.
Azerbaijan State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics that 55.3% of shipments were transported by rail, 30.9% by road and 13.8% by sea.
Shipments via the corridor accounted for 26.8% of the total transportation in the country. AZN 174.9 million was earned for transportation, up 13.7% from the same period last year (the rise was 13.7% in rail transportation by rail, 12.5% in sea and 13.8% in road transportation).
