Azerbaijan to introduce “single window†at border checkpoints

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan State Customs Committee has developed a program for the introduction of one-stop shop system at checkpoints.
Aydin Aliyev, Chairman of the Committee, said that the draft program has been submitted to the Government for approval.
“The program was redrafted on the basis of proposals made at the first phase. Reconstruction work is under way in five major checkpoints. Single-window system will be introduced in these points,†he added.
According to him, the single window system will simplify procedures at checkpoints and state-of-the-art equipment are being bought to check vehicles without stopping them.
