Azerbaijan drafts State Program for ICT Development

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies has put into discussion the final draft of the 2009-2012 State Program for ICT Development.
Iltimas Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, said the new state program envisions the introduction of the e-government and related issues.
He added that a tender has been announced for the National Open Key Infrastructure.
According to him, the contract with a tender winner will pave the way for the introduction of e-signature and e-government.
