SOCAR launches new plant for sweetening sea water in Chilov Island

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. An ANTI-OSMOS plant was put into operation for sweetening the sea water in Chilov Island, Caspian Sea. According to SOCAR president Rovnag Abdullayev the sweetening sea water, using in life and irrigation was commissioned them and other organizations by the president.

The president of Company said that, this plant can sweeten 300 cubic meters sea water. According to him, the daily water requirement of Chilov Island is 200-250 cubic meters.

In early 2010, over 12000 tress and flowers have been planted in Island.

A new mini football square has also been put into use there.
