Azercell says 1 576 base stations in operation

Baku. Aynur Veliyeva â€“ APA-Economics. Azercell Telecom LLC has announced that the
number of functioning radio base stations reached 1576 in early April.
Expanding coverage area and increasing ever its mobile communication quality are ones of the priorities in the activities of Azercell Telecom. In order to ensure a high quality mobile communication, Azercell installs on permanent basis its radio base stations across all territory of Azerbaijan. In this regard, results of February and March are praiseworthy because Azercell Telecom LLC installed 13 new radio base stations for subscribers during these months. In February, 10 radio base stations have been installed in Baku and the rest is in Masally, Guba and Sheki.
In March, 30 new stations have been commissioned: 6 stations in Baku, another 6 stations in Absheron, 2 in Goychay, 2 in Saatly, 2 in Sheki, 2 in Beylagan and the are installed in Agdash, Bilasuvar, Salyan, Ganja, Yevlakh, Agdam, Sabirabad, Kurdamir, Gusar and Khachmaz regions.
The number of Azercell stations is to reach the level of 1576 for early April. At present the company has 2 Home Location Registers, 15 Base Stations Controller Systems and 12 Mobile Services Switching Centers.
The increased number of Azercellâ€™s base stations provides its subscribers with the qualitative mobile communication service in every corner of the country.
