Baku. Fuad Jafarov – APA. Fire broke out in Baku in multistory building, where Sahil Trade Center is located has been extinguished, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Etibar Mirzayev told APA.
Deputy Minister said that no one was injured in the accident. “The fire was extinguished late, as fire engines couldn’t enter the site due to the density of cars,” he said.
He refuted the reports that some people remained in the building.
Though the fire was extinguished, smoking is going on. Measures are being taken to prevent it.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations has established a staff at the site. The staff is giving information about the fire. The staff is also distributing water and buttermilk among the people.
Entrance and exit of Sahil metro station have been closed. The station is reportedly filled up with water.

Entrance and exit of Sahil metro station have been closed. A large number of fire engines have been deployed at the site. Urgent measures are being taken to extinguish the fire.
Ambulances have also been deployed at the site. Nothing is known about injuries.
Residents of the building, people working in Sahil Trade Center have been evacuated. Residents have been evacuated from nearby buildings as well.
Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Etibar Mirzayev has also arrived at the site.
Etibar Mirzayev told APA’s correspondent that the reasons of the accident are unknown yet. Deputy Minister said that the reasons of the fire will be revealed after the investigation.
