Statistics of corruption-related criminal cases for 9 months of this year made public

He said that efficient fight against corruption was successfully continued in nine months of 2013. 161 hot line of the Anti-Corruption Department under Prosecutor General received 3915 applications. The investigations were launched into 21 out of 307 appealss under various articles of the Criminal Code and 1078 applications were sustained.

Authors of the application not related with the corruption were given detailed explanations on the restoration of civil, family-related and other violated rights. Other appeals were considered in accordance with the requirements of law "On consideration of the appeals of citizens" and sent to the relevant ministries, state committees and other bodies for taking measures.

23 criminal cases were launched on 31 persons caught red-handed during the operations carried out by the department in nine months of the current year. 132 criminal cases were launched on 232 appeals and proceedings were launched on 47 criminal cases.
