Baku City Main Police Office told APA that the incident occurred between the law-enforcement forces and the citizens, who attended the hearing on Taleh Bagirov’s case at Sabunchu District Court on October 28. Those citizens attempted to disrupt the hearing grossly violating the public order at the court room. They didn’t comply with the legal requirements of law-enforcement forces, continued these actions in the court yard and even attempted to block the highway with heavy traffic.
Those persons resisted to the law-enforcement forces and four of them were injured. Active participants in illegal acts were detained by police and court sentenced four of them to pre-trial detention.
The investigations carried out by Sabunchu District Police Office revealed that some of them are not residents of Baku and came to the capital from different regions to attend the proceedings. Drug testing revealed that 3 of them are drug addicts. 3 of them were convicted under various articles of the Criminal Code.
Abbasov Shahriyar Khalid was sentenced to two year nine month imprisonment under article #126.1 (intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code in 2011, Huseynov Abbas Mammadbaghir to one year imprisonment under article #332.1(violation of the statutory rules among military personnel) in 2007, Asgarov Sanan Kamil to 3 year imprisonment under article #177.2.3 (theft) in 2002
