Official response given to inquiry of Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine regarding Azerbaijani studentâ€™s death

First secretary for consular affairs at Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine Asim Osmanov told APA that the letter sent by the new body of the Interior Ministry says lungs and internal organs of Eldarli Arif Elshan, 20-year-old student of Ukraine National Defense University, were damaged, he suffered broken bones.

Osmanov said it is regarded as a suicide, added that no signs of violence were found on the body.

The representative of the embassy said as the version of murder was not confirmed, decision was passed to drop the criminal case launched on articles 115.1 (premeditated murder) and 122 (deliberate infliction of bodily harm) of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.

Eldarli Arif Elshan, 20-year-old student of Ukraine National Defense University, jumped to death from the 15th floor of the hostel in Kharkov on February 28. Asim Osmanov told APA that it was being investigated whether it was suicide or not.

“They say he was together with his fellow students from various nationalities. We have sent an inquiry to the relevant bodies, investigation is underway,” he said.
