National Hero of Azerbaijan dies

Slesarev Mikhail was born on May 8, in 1955 in Smolensk. After graduating 8th grade of secondary school â„– 4 in 1970, in Smolensk, continued his education at a vocational school â„– 19. In 1971 he began to work as a tractor driver at the Smolensk association of agricultural machinery. In 1975 he was drafted into the Soviet Army. After completing military service in 1977, he enrolled in the direction of the Tbilisi school warrant. Upon completion of the school warrant was sent to Baku. In 1981-86 years he served as commander of a motorized infantry platoon, 1986-99 years as chief of security platoon. In 1999, the performance of services in the Gobustan penal colony displayed heroism during the suppression of the rebellion of prisoners. Mikhail, immediately creating a task force was able to neutralize the armed prisoners. In 1999, he received the rank of lieutenant. He served as a platoon commander in the military unit of the Ministry of Justice of Azerbaijan.

Decree number 73 of President of Azerbaijan Republic dated 12 January 1999, Slesarev Mikhail Alexandrovich was awarded the honorary title of "National Hero of Azerbaijan."

He was married and had 2 children.
