“Two months ago, we came to my father’s house. Later he took away both my children. He kept Umid with him but returned my three-year-old son as he had failed to take care of him,” said Mahira Abishova.
According to Abishova, her husband last called her around 18:00pm yesterday.
She said Zahid Isgandarov beheaded her son in the forest and fled the village after telling the villagers of the incident. This is what police have told the woman. District police kept watch on their house throughout the night.
Zahid Isgandarov was soon captured by police. The Beylagan district prosecutor’s office has opened a criminal case on Article 120.1 (deliberate murder).
Note that, Umid was a first-grader in school and Mahira is Zahid’s second wife. His previous wife had given birth to two children for him.
