Farid Abbasov, who was killed in Baku on Jan.7, is the son of chairman of Shusha-Aghdam-Khojali-Khojavand Election Constituency, Vahid Abbasov.
Vahid Abbasov told APA that his son's murderers hadn’t been found yet. “My son had been living alone for over a month. As he had dispute in the family, his wife left home with the children. Farid had also health problems. We are from Shusha. He was psychologically affected by the artillery sounds during Karabakh war. He received treatment several times. Thus, he was not working. I was bringing him clothes and food. I didn’t know whom he was in contact with,” said Abbasov.
Abbasov gave testimony to the police regarding the murder. “The investigation is underway. As I know no one has been arrested yet,” he said.
On Jan.7, Farid Abbasov’s body with his hands bound and having signs of violence on it was found in the apartment he rented in Baku's Nizami district.
