Baku Military Court told APA that Elchin Khalilov faced charges under articles #308.2 and 179.3.2 of the Criminal Code. The Republican Military Prosecutor's Office sentenced him to 3-month pre-trial detention.

As a result of the inspections carried out by the Republican Military Prosecutor's Office, it was revealed that Former Chief of the Scientific-Research Center under the Ministry of Defence Elchin Khalilov flagrantly violated laws while working. The Republican Military Prosecutor's Office has launched a criminal case under articles #308.2 and 179.3.2 of the Criminal Code.
The investigation revealed that Elchin Khalilov misappropriated a great deal of state property by abusing his power.
