Law enforcement agencies told APA that Maryam Nametzade (1965) was murdered asleep by her daughter and sister’s son. After committing the murder, her daughter, Gunel Huseynova, fled leaving the other perpetuators at home. After a few hours, she returned home and told the others to leave the home.
According to preliminary information, temptation is the motive behind the killing. It is said that when she was detained, Gunel offered police AZN 5 million, asking them to close the case. But her offered was rejected and she was handed over for investigation. The Nasimi district police issued a verdict of pretrial detention about the detainees today.
Maryam Nametzade was found dead in her house on Jan.5. The measures taken by police revealed that the murder was committed by Nametzade’s daughter Gunel Huseynova (1988), her sister’s son Nijat Eyvazov (1998) and Jeyhun Asgarov (1997).
