Hajili’s brother, Adviser to the Chairman of Musavat Party Mustafa Hajibayli told APA that Hajili and Aslanli were detained in Makhachkala, capital of the Republic of Dagestan and taken to the local police station: “Law-enforcement officers forced them to get off the train at the station in Makhachkala and took them to the police station. No official statement has been issued on the reasons of detention. They supposedly made a row.”
Makhachkala Internal Affairs Division for Transport told APA that Azerbaijani citizens Hajili and Aslanli have already been sent back to Baku. The Division said nothing about the reasons for their detention.
There is no accurate information whether Hajili and Aslanli were released from the police station or not.

Baku. Etibar Mammadov – APA. Head of Musavat Party's Executive Board, Deputy Chairman Arif Hajili was detained in Makhachkala, capital of Republic of Dagestan, the Russian Federation.
Hajili told APA that he was detained in Makhachkala and asked to inform his family about it. It was impossible to learn the details of the incident as the contact with Hajili was lost.
Chairperson of Musavat's Assembly Arzu Samadbeyli told APA that Hajili left for the Autonomous Republic of Crimea by train along with other Deputy Chairman Gulagha Aslanli on March 9. “They were supposedly detained in Russia.”
Hajili and Aslanli are not currently answering the phone calls.
