Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry has commented on the appeals by first Karabakh war veterans regarding military service on the front line.
Former fighters, various veterans’ organizations have recently applied to the Defense Ministry for the purpose of supporting our military personnel serving on the contact line to liberate our territories from occupation, the Defense Ministry told APA.
“Frequent ceasefire violation by Armenians intensified this process. The Defense Ministry is still receiving such appeals. If there is a need for specialized servicemen, they will be recruited to the Armed Forces in accordance with legislation,” the ministry said.
The Ministry said that it is holding meetings with the organizations of war veterans and planning joint measures: “Wish of war veterans to serve on the frontline again is a moral support for personnel of the Armed Forces, irreplaceable example for future servicemen and a great honor for Homeland. Former servicemen’s calls for patriotism have a positive impact on the increase of fighting spirit, will of victory and moral, psychological state of the personnel. The Defense Ministry is highly-estimating this initiative and expressing its gratitude to them.”
