Moscow City Court rejects Orkhan Zeynalovâ€™s appeal

APA reports quoting ITAR-TASS that Moscow City Court upheld decision of the Presnensky District Court.

On October 10, the murder of 25-year-old Egor Sherbakov by a Caucasian caused protest of the local residents. Hundreds of Russian nationalists and skinheads attacked Biryoza trade center and Pokrov fruit store and beat to death Caucasians and Central Asians. Special police forces were deployed at the site. The skinheads showed resistance to the police. They seriously damaged shops, facilities and automobiles in the trade center. A large number of migrants and local residents were injured as a result of incidents committed by Russian nationalists.

On October 15, suspected Orkhan Zeynalov was detained in Kolomna city and taken to Moscow by helicopter. Though during the preliminary interrogation Orkhan Zeynalov confessed that he had committed the murder, later he told the court that he had given his initial testimony under pressure and denied the accusations.
