A representative of the Main Directorate for Organized Crime, Vuqar Isgandarov testified in court, saying that after 15 minutes of gunfight he broke into the house and arrested one man therein. “He ran onto me. He had a knife in his hand. I arrested him and found on him brass knuckles and explosives. His name was Ali.”
Answering the questions, the witness said they went to Nardaran in two special cars, adding that he was saddened by the incident. He made no complaints about the defendants.
Attorney Yalchin Imanov asked him about the physical injures on Ali Nuriyev’s body. He replied that Ali got injured at he was being arrested.
Employee of the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime, Muslum Tarverdiyev also gave testimony at the hearing. He said that they didn’t expect armed resistance. He caught Shamil Abdulaliyev holding a knife in the yard and found a grenade in his pocket.
Lawyer Imanov noted that Abdulaliyev has bullet wounds in his body and asked its reason. The witness said he probably received these wounds during shooting, and other wounds after falling down. The lawyer asked the witness if he provided medical aid to Abdulaliyev or not. The witness said that he didn’t give medical aid as he couldn’t. Tarverdiyev also said that he didn’t fire during the shooting. Shamil Abdullayev said that the person who detained him was not Tarverdiyev. He said that when he went outside the police wounded him. Then the settlement reisdnets took him to hospital.

Taleh Baghirov faces charges under Criminal Code’s articles #120 (premeditated murder), 120.2.1, 120.2.3, 120.2.4, 120.2.7, 120.2.12, 29, 120 (attempt to premeditated murder), 29,120.2.1, 29,120.2.3 , 29,120.2.4, 120.2.7, 120.2.12 , 228.3 (illegal purchase of firearms), 228.4 (illegal carrying of weapons) and others. On November 26, 2015, law enforcement agencies conducted a special operation in Nardaran township, Baku, arresting Taleh Baghirov and 60 others. Separate criminal proceedings were initiated against some of them and their criminal cases were sent to the Sabunchu district court, which passed verdicts against them.
Fuad Gahramanli was jailed for three months on December 8, 2015. He is charged under the Article 281.1 (public calls for the violent seizure of power) and 283 (inciting national, racial, social or religious enmity and hatred by using violence or threat of violence) and 220.2 (Appeals to active insubordination to legal requirements of representatives of authority and to mass disorders, as well as appeals to violence above citizens) of Azerbaijan’s Criminal Code.
