"The Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Ombudsperson) Sabina Aliyeva contacted the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Republic of Kazakhstan Artur Lastayev and asked to keep the issue in mind in order to take necessary measures regarding the people who lost their lives and need treatment as a result of the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane near the city of Aktau," the Ombudsman's Office has released information in this regard, APA reports.
"A working group consisting of employees of the Kazakh and Azerbaijani Ombudsman institutions has been established to establish direct, uninterrupted contact, and to ensure the sharing of necessary information. Issues related to the incident are being kept in mind, and additional information will be provided to the public," the statement said.
Note that an Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft performing flight J2-8243 from Baku to Grozny, an Embraer 190 airplane, crashed 3 km near the city of Aktau. There were 67 passengers and 5 crew members on board.
