APA reports that Nigar Yagublu gave testimony at the hearing presided by judge Ilham Karimov. In her testimony, Nigar Yagublu admitted her guilt in Aydin Ajalov’s death. Following this, she responded to the questions of the judge and lawyers. Aydin Ajalov’s son and legal heir Rashad Ajalov also gave testimony. He had no complaint, demand or claim. Ajalov’s letter to the court was also read. He asked the court to take into account that she is young, the accident occurred because of incaution and Aydin Ajalov’s family did not file a complaint.
Lawyer Elton Guliyev filed a petition to commute Nigar Yagublu’s imprisonment to house arrest. The lawyer asked the court to take into consideration the appeal of 17 parliamentarians.
Public prosecutor asked the court to reject the petition.
The court has taken the petition under advisement
Nigar Yagublu was detained on September 11, 2012. She was sentenced to two months in jail over the car accident that killed member of Musavat Party Aydin Ajalov.
