Implementation of pardon order completed

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. The implementation of the pardon order signed by Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev has been completed.

APA reports that the implementation of the order started in the morning.

Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev signed a pardon order on December 26. The order has been applied to 87 persons. 79 of them have been released from unserved part of their sentence, 4 from unserved part of the correctional activities, 4 others from fines.

Journalists Aydin Janiyev and Anar Bayramli, human rights activists Vidadi Isgandarli and Taleh Khasmammadov, department chief of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Shahin Hasanli have also been released from unserved part of their sentences.

The citizens of Iran, Turkey, Georgia, Nigeria and Bangladesh have also been released from unserved part of their sentences.
