Ilgar Mammadov faces extra charge

Lawyer Khalid Bagirov told APA that charges on Ilgar Mammadov under Criminal Code’s article #233.1 (illegal manufacture, acquisition, possession, carrying, transportation items, a civil revolution which is not allowed by law) has been dropped and he faced extra charge under article #220.1 (the organization of a mass disorders accompanied with violence, breaking, arsons, destruction of property, application of fire-arms, explosives, and also rendering of armed resistance to representative of authority, or participation in such disorders).

Yesterday, Anar Hasanov, Saftar Aghamaliyev and Tofig Yagublu arrested over Ismayilli incidents faced the same charges.

Musavat Party deputy chairman Tofig Yagublu and chairman of “REAL” movement Ilgar Mammadov faced charges under articles 233 (organizing or actively participating in the actions causing violation of public order) and 315.2 (using force or resisting to the government representative) of the Criminal Code. They are accused of violating public order and instigating the citizens to conflicts during Ismayilli incidents on January 23 and 24.
