Hasan Zeynalov: â€œThere were no documents on Sevinj Babayevaâ€

Baku. Mahbuba Gasimbeyli – APA. “Full examination will be carried out to determine the exact cause of Sevinj Babayeva’s death. Only after that the exact cause of the death will be known. Necessary paperwork will be done after the full examination, later the body will be sent to Azerbaijan,” Azerbaijani Consul General to Istanbul Hasan Zeynalov told APA.

Consul General said he was present in the examination of Sevinj Babayeva’s body.

“Her son and brother are also here. The woman died there,” he said.

The diplomat said Babayeva went to hospital with heart attack yesterday.

“She was reportedly in critical condition. It was impossible to save her,” he said.

Asked how she came to Turkey while being wanted by Interpol, Zeynalov said: “I can’t speak about it. It is a task of the law-enforcement bodies. Perhaps, all issues will be clarified. We, as representatives of the Consulate General, had to confirm our citizen’s death. No documents were found on her. We participated in the examination. Our diplomat will participate in all following procedures.”

In his response to the question on the arrival of the Azerbaijani law-enforcement bodies in Turkey, the Consul General noted that no one had come from Azerbaijan yet: “I think they will come, if necessary,” he said.
