The delegation led by Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kemaleddin Heydarov paid a visit to the Russian Federation on December 27 at the invitation of Prime Minister Vladimir Andreevich Puchkov to attend the event celebrating Rescuers' Day held by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Affairs for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters.The monument to honor rescuers in Moscow was visited and the wreath was laid in front of it during the visit, APA reports quoting the website of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Following this, the meeting was held with the participation of the delegations of Russian and Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations. The development of relations between the relevant government agencies, further cooperation prospects and other issues of mutual interest were discussed during the meeting.
Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Affairs for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters were reciprocally awarded, medals and badges were presented to the employees of both ministries for their merits in the development of mutual cooperation.
