Spokesman for Prosecutor General's Office Eldar Sultanov told APA that with the view of determining the cause of death of Sevinj Babayeva, who died at “Medicana International Ä°stanbul Hospital” in Turkey, her body was examined at Istanbul Forensic Medical Examination Office by the Turkish law enforcers and forensic medical experts in the presence of the representatives of Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office and Interior Ministry, Azerbaijani Consulate General in Istanbul.
The forensic medical examination has been completed, relevant measures are being taken to send the body to Baku.
The Azerbaijani law-enforcement bodies along with their Turkish counterparts have determined Babayeva’s address in Istanbul. The persons, whom she contacted during that period, are being specified, necessary investigative and the other measures are being taken.
At the same time, the investigation revealed that Babayeva was treated at the Cardiology Department of the Central Hospital of Azerbaijan’s State Customs Committee with the diagnosis of sharp pulmonary embolism.
Additional information about the investigations will be made public, after relevant response is given by the Turkish side.
