Press service of the Prosecutor’s Office told APA that Tagiyev Rafig Nazir, who works as a doctor at Baku Emergency Aid Station #8, was hospitalized with injuries at 22.00 on November 19.
Khatai district police office has launched criminal case on the fact on article 126.1 (deliberate infliction of injury) of the Criminal Code. An investigation group has been set up over the incident.
Rafig Tagiyev was reportedly knifed by an unidentified person on the way home.
The materials of the criminal case have been submitted to the Department for Investigation of Grave Crimes of the Prosecutor General’s Office. Interior Ministry and Prosecutor General’s Office have taken control of the investigation, urgent measures are being taken to detain the offender.
