Deputy Chief of Baku City Main Police Office Sahlab Bagirov: â€œBeggars will be removed from capitalâ€™s streets till Eurovision Song Contestâ€

Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. â€œThe security will be ensured at a high level in Azerbaijani capital in connection with Eurovision Song Contestâ€, Deputy Chief of Baku City Main Police Office, Police Major Sahlab Bagirov told APA. According to him, Baku police is preparing to the Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in the capital: â€œThe courses have been organized in order to enhance the knowledge and intellectual levels, as well as the acquisition of foreign language by them. Besides, the seasonable uniform of the police officers is being determined beforehand. In one word, Baku police is preparing to Eurovision Song Contest at a high levelâ€.

Bagirov said that all beggars will be removed from the capital till the Eurovision Song Contest: â€œThe leadership of the Interior Ministry gave a special instruction on carrying out several works in the capital on the eve of Eurovision Song Contest. According to that instruction, the capitalâ€™s police was tasked to observe the cleanness in the city, removal of beggars from the streets and several important tasks. I can say that the execution of these works have been already started and will be finished till the contestâ€.

Bagirov also noted that the passport regime has been started in Baku in connection with Eurovision song contest: â€œWithin the security measures, all persons who have arrived in Baku, and still living here without registration, will be registered, and this process will be finished till the contest. It is a very important issue for the point of view of security. I can surely say that the security of foreign guests who will come to Azerbaijan will be ensured at a high level. We will try to guests, who will arrive in Baku, to leave capital with a high moodâ€.
