Azerbaijanâ€™s State Traffic Police Office addresses pedestrians

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. The Republican Main State Traffic Police Office addressed the pedestrians. Department chief of the organization Kamran Aliyev told APA that the number of traffic accidents resulted in hitting of pedestrians increased in Azerbaijan. Thus, 29 of traffic accidents occurred on highways in Azerbaijan last week resulted in hitting of the pedestrians and killing 12 people, injuring 29.

Aliyev noted that, according to the statistics, the traffic accidents resulted in hitting of pedestrians occur mainly on the roadway: â€œThatâ€™s why the culprits of most traffic accidents are the pedestrians. We once again address the population and call them to be attentive on the highways. They should use over ground and underground pedestrian paths. They must not venture their life in order to reach the address more quickly.â€

Alyev also noted that the security month started on September 10 due to the beginning of the education years, police officers will hold open lessons in the secondary schools to educate the children about the traffic rulesâ€.
