According to APA’s local bureau the incident took place at about 16.00 on Wednesday in the Upper Karabakh Channel passing through Mingachevir. Resident of Arash village of Azerbaijan’s Yevlakh region Israfilov Hasan Jomard, 24 became missing during his guard service near the Upper Karabakh Channel, which is rising from the Mingachevir reservoir. His car, police uniform and mobile phone were found near the channel. According to the preliminary version, Israfilov was drowned while swimming in the channel. Rescuers and divers of the State Water Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency are searching for him.
The fact is investigated by the prosecutor’s office of Mingachevir.
